 Emma Jackson – 84, black, loving,  religous, heavyset woman, walks with a cane (hip replaced as well as both knees).

 LINDA Davis – 40, black, well-educated, well-spoken, a 5th grade teacher

 John Davis – 40, black, hard-worker, an electrician

 Peg Hanover – 40, aloof, lawyer, self-centered, assured, her way or the highway 

June Carlson – 45, bohemian, hippy, very liberal, dresses as though she just came off a commune, a New Ager

 Craig Carlson – 50, arrogant, smug, self-righteous, financial planner, thinks he knows-it-all, narcissistic

 

Martha Carlson – 75, somewhat spacey, mute as after having a stroke just after her husband died suffers from Dysarthria (cannot speak), communicates by ringing a bell attached to her necklace and writing notes

 

Jim Hanover – 45 - Carlson’s ex-husband, a mechanical engineer, sincere, guy next door, someone you want as your best friend, analytical, slightly nerdy

 

 Tricia Berringer 30’s -transplant coordinator, educated, a former nurse, direct yet understanding  

Maggie Thurston – 60’s unit clerk, black, Jamaican accent, would rather socialize with patient’s families then stay in her unit clerk’s cubicle, very accommodating, grandmotherly

 Billy Hanover – 17, blond, handsome, smart, high school quarterback (slim, tall), infectious smile.  (In Uncensored version, because of nudity in one scene, this actor must be over 21…and this has to be stated in the cast area of the program/playbill.)

Uncensored Version Additional Male Character:

Billy 2 – Same physical features as Billy Hanover.  Billy2 lies motionless in a hospital bed during one scene.  His head is completely bandaged, you cannot distinguish his facial features.
